Emergency Assistance Program for Women Veterans

Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services has a one-time Emergency Assistance Program for Women Veterans of any era. The Program defines emergencies as women who are currently in the following situations: homeless, served eviction or foreclosure notice, have a utility shut-off notice or car reposition, or insurance cancelation. On occasions other needs with be considered including car repairs needed to work, or other well explained emergency items.

Operation Veteran Empowerment for All New York Veterans

In partnership with Single Stop, Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services is offering a comprehensive support initiative that produces personalized benefits counseling to help Veterans identify and access federal, state, and local resources for Veterans living in New York state of any era. These include health care, housing assistance, food security, education, and employment support. Single Stop’s integrated screening and referral technology enables a holistic, streamlined approach to resource navigation—reducing the complexity of accessing benefits and maximizing financial health for veterans and their families.
